Details of some of the courses available are as follows:

FAW Football Leaders Award

A 15 hour course providing a basic introduction to the organisation of football practices in a fun, safe environment with an emphasis on skill development. This is a mandatory award for all coaches involved in junior football in Wales. Course resource provided.

FAW First Aid for Football Awareness

A three hour course developing an awareness of first aid techniques within a football environment. Course resource provided.

FAW Coaching Footballers with Disability

A six hour practical course providing coaches with an insight into adapting coaching sessions for disabled footballers in a fun and safe environment. The course will assist, supplement and support the coaches existing experiences in this field.

FAW Goalkeepers Award

A six hour course providing a basic introduction to the organisation and delivery of goalkeeper specific activities. The course will focus on developing candidate skills in the organisation of practices in a fun, safe, learning environment. Course resource provided.

FAW Welfare & Child Protection

A three hour workshop to support candidates in developing good practice when working with children and vulnerable adults. The workshop will focus on identifying poor practice and recognising signs, symptoms and forms of abuse and how to react to concerns or disclosures. It will also provide advice on how to identify people and organisations that can help and provide support in such situations.

FAW Grassroots Revalidation

These Six Hour Conferences are in place to provide support and information for coaches working at grass roots level with junior clubs in Wales. The courses also form a vital part of the FAW revalidation requirements, supporting Football Leaders Awards and FAW C Certificate Candidates

FAW Time to Listen Workshop

A three hour workshop to provide candidates with an extensive background developing good practice when working with children and vulnerable adults. The workshop is a progression from the FAW Welfare and Child Protection Course, which must be completed prior the accessing this Second Tier of the Safeguarding Pathway.

McDonalds Coaching Workshops

A range of local workshops that aim to provide support and information for coaches working at grass roots level with junior clubs in Wales. The courses also for part of the FAW Revalidation requirements.
