Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the Football Association of Wales has taken the decision to suspend all domestic football until Saturday 4th April 2020. The situation will be continuously monitored, and any updates will be shared on the FAW’s website: www.faw.cymru For further information regarding the pandemic – please follow the following link: www.publichealthwales.wales.nhs.uk

Please note the additional advice given by the FAW with respect to training, which is; “Any decision regarding training is a matter for the Club and/or Facility provider, but the Public Health Guidelines must be followed at all times – www.publichealthwales.wales.nhs.uk”

Please find below further advice from the FAW about Club Training Sessions and Insurance; The FAW would like to clarify advice with regards to club training sessions. Any decision regarding training is a matter for a club and/or training facility provider, but the public health guidelines must be followed at all times. The FAW’s insurance providers – Bluefin – have advised the following: “If a player suffered an injury from an accident during a training session or match the policy will respond accordingly.        “If a player is absent from work as a result of contracting coronavirus they would not be covered under the FAW personal accident policy for any benefits including loss of earnings. “The policy in place does not extend for claims related to sickness; it will only respond in relation to injuries sustained through an accident in training/playing or traveling to and from such sessions.”
